Do to privacy concerns, this will be only a tiny sneak peek into this beautiful elopement. There are some epic images from this session that I'd love to share with you but my client's privacy always take priority.
You'll just have to trust me that this was an incredible day to remember.
Originally these two childhood sweethearts had planned an intimate wedding in Maine but at the last minute, they decided to elope and asked if I would help.
I picked up a one-day marriage order and we headed to their favorite spot in Newbury... Plum Island! It was a spectacular day in late March - the sun was shining, it was a balmy 50 degrees, and we had the area almost entirely to ourselves.
Piled into our cars, we dashed off to the first location, a quiet little spot on the beach for couple-led vows.
A few family members watched from a lookout point nearby yet out of ear-shot so that they could share their vows privately. Only the three of us and the wind and the waves heard their touching words to one another. Later in the day, we signed the important documents to make it official!
After a moving ceremony, we explored the island looking for pretty photo spots. We captured romantic images as well as many playful ones that highlighted their fun personalities.
After exploring the preserve we went back to their cottage for a champagne toast with family and most importantly, photos with the pup. I signed their marriage license making their special day official just before departing.
