When I arrived at Snow Pond Center for the Arts and joined Maridel and her bridesmaids in their cabin, Maridel was just picking out what she wanted to wear. I'm known for working with laid-back people, and Maridel was no exception. Throughout the day she took time to enjoy the food, the sunset, and time with her loved ones and when it came to what she'd wear on her wedding day, she decided to go with whatever felt right in the moment. With a bit of feedback from her friends, she selected a beautiful skirt, blouse, shoes, and veil.

Here Maridel examines her veil options; this one was her mother's.

With a veil option picked out, the girls got to work pulling the look together.

Next door, my second shooter Hannah captured the men getting ready:

All dressed and ready to go, we headed to the grove for a first look:

Maridel attended Snow Pond Music Camp and worked here as a counselor. For her, this location was steeped in treasured memories from her youth.

Their ceremony included several beautiful readings, handfasting with their sweet baby boy, and a unity candle lighting that, of course, comically blew out in the breeze... it wouldn't be a wedding without at least one snafu.

Following the ceremony and before family photos, Georg & Maridel snuck away for a few minutes of alone time:

I encourage all couples to try and steal away for a few moments alone to celebrate their vows privately.

Back at the dining hall, guests enjoyed dinner and toasts from family.

After dinner, Maridel took some time to nurse the baby while guests took in the incredible sunset before making their way over to where the band was set up for dancing.

The evening ended with guests dancing the night away to the incredible music of 'The Right Track'.

Maridel hopped on stage to play a couple of songs with the band:
