Cape Elizabeth Backyard Wedding

Your backyard can be as perfect a venue as any in Maine, especially if you're looking to simply your event. It's remarkable how just the right touches can bring elegance to even the plainest backyards.

I sometimes recommend couples who are traveling to Maine for their wedding to consider an AirBnB or vacation home to hold their gathering, as long as they receive permission from the owner first.

Dad was a talented gardener to begin with and so he grew many of the arrangements for their wedding day. Doing this is an a wonderfully eco-friendly way to style your wedding. If you aren't able to grow your own, purchasing locally grown flowers is another great option.

The bride's dress was stunningly minimalist. She reminded me of a 40s movie star.

Lawn games, dancing and drinks were the main activities of the evening which made for a relaxed event. The simpler your event the greater the chances that you'll be able to jump in to the activities and enjoy yourself.
