Dedham Maine Wedding At The Lakehouse

Updated: Jan 8, 2019

Tucked away down a wooded lane in Dedham Maine is this lovely summer home on Phillips Lake. Having spend many summers here, Hannah thought it would be the perfect place to hold her simple yet sophisticated outdoor wedding with all thoughtfull touches of a traditional summer spent in Maine.

All of the flowers at this eco-friendly wedding were grown by a family member with a green thumb and cut the evening before the wedding. The bride had wanted sunflowers and so they were grown from seed in the spring.

Dotting the tables were hand-made signs of their favorite ski slopes.

And of course, locally brewed summer ale.

Hannah and Adam were married by a close friend who was ordained online just for their wedding. I always love it when a couple chooses someone they're close with to marry them because their shared history makes the ceremony that much more personal.

Their handmade arbor was was decorated with foraged greens.

After the ceremony the two paddled away in a little row-boat for two while their guests settled in with a cocktail.

I love Hannah's simple wedding day look. Her hair and makeup are so natural and effortless.
