I had the honor of photographing Jesse's & Trevor's wedding at the Village by the Sea in Wells Maine.
Right from our first correspondence I knew that their big day was a going to be just lovely. They were very focused on each other and their love from the get-go. Everything else about their day was secondary to this. For my part, most of our communication was done by email as the couple traveled to Maine for their wedding day. This wasn't exactly a destination wedding in Maine as Jesse is originally a native of Wells.

When I arrived to Village by the Sea I could see that the couple had paid careful attention to each detail making sure that both grooms were represented in their union.
These lighthouse wedding invitations are a perfect reflection of this.
The village by the sea in Wells Maine offers lovely gardens and green area for ceremonies. Everything was in bloom and the sun was shining! They couldn't have planned a more perfect day. The ceremony site is surprisingly private and the location is ideal due its proximity to the beach! Guests who stay here can enjoy all that coastal Maine has to offer.

I love how they kept the wedding simple with a wedding party of two close friends. My own wedding was much the same.

The ceremony was led by New England Wedding Officiant Heather Rose. Follow her on Instagram at @Hrosemakesitoffical. She did such a great job! She clearly loves her work and how could she not. She gets to share in the happiest day of her customer's lives.
The vows were so touching I found myself getting caught up in them. I think I smiled ear to ear this entire evening.
The rings, it's official!

We kept our portraits quick and simple as we had planned a beach shoot with just the two of them for the following evening. You can see those photos here

The reception was held just behind the ceremony on the patio.
The couple served cocktails and passed appetizers for guests.
Inside the tables were set elegantly with bold red and blues.
Again I love how they incorporated party favors to represent each groom.
